Cle’ Simon, Attorney at Law
Nearly 75 years ago, Minos Simon – a Museum of Living Legends inductee – began the family tradition of providing superior legal services to the citizens of Acadiana and throughout the state of Louisiana. Today, his son, Clé Simon, carries on this tradition at Simon Law Offices. Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, the practice focuses on personal injury law, using decades of experience and trial expertise to bring justice and monetary compensation to the wrongfully injured.
Clé Simon is the surviving son of the legal legend, Minos Simon, and is the current owner of Simon Law Offices. Because of his father’s influence Clé was instilled with the drive, determination, stamina, skill and intellect to be an outstanding lawyer, he had the further advantage of having his father as his mentor who early on instilled in Clé the virtues of honesty, hard work and dedication to clients. This dedication, work ethic and unquenching desire to help others was the driving force responsible for the legendary legal accomplishments of Minos Simon and has been the driving force responsible for Cle’s incredible success in taking up his father’s mantel and continuing the family tradition of legal excellence provided to the citizens of our local community and citizens statewide.
Clé enrolled at LSU promptly upon graduating from high school at St. Stanislaus and promptly enrolled in law school immediately upon graduating from college, having realized as a teenager that a career as a lawyer was a foregone conclusion. Since beginning his career in 1990 as a lawyer helping others, Clé has surpassed even his lofty expectations.
Clé is responsible for the highest wrongful death award of its kind in the history of Louisiana – $7.6 million dollar total judgement for the tragic death of a 5-month-old child resulting from an accidental overdose of Infants’ Tylenol. The case made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which denied the drug manufacturer’s request for review, setting the stage for major changes nationwide in the pharmaceutical industry, including the removal of Infants Tylenol (as formulated previously) from the national market.
Clé has handled a countless number of personal injury cases over the past few decades and has recovered countless millions for the clients of Simon Law Offices due to his significant experience with auto collisions, 18-wheeler collisions, offshore accidents, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical injury, medical device injury and more. He has a certified lifetime membership in both the MILLION DOLLAR ADVOCATES FORUM and MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ADVOCATES FORUM, considered among the most prestigious trial attorneys in the nation…. recognition and membership reserved exclusively for less than 1% of the lawyers in the United States. Recognition and membership in the MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ADVOCATES FORUM is limited to only those attorneys who have obtained not only MILLION dollar verdicts, awards or settlements but MULTI-MILLION dollar verdicts, awards or settlements. He is licensed in all Louisiana State and Federal Jurisdictions.
Also acquired from his father is the belief that a lawyer should be accessible, not only to clients but potential clients. Clé devotes a large portion of each day visiting with clients and potential clients. All are welcome to stop by and visit over a cup of coffee, just the way it was done for the nearly 60 years that Cle’s father practiced personal injury law… the only difference may be the new office building for SIMON LAW OFFICES near the Village of River Ranch.
A father, avid outdoorsman and sports fan, Clé spends his downtime with family and friends, following the New Orleans Saints, LSU and ULL football and baseball or cheering his children along as they compete for state and national championships in swimming, baseball and football, making sure to allow time for duck hunting or fishing.
